My eyes were not doing so badly til I started a new job after not having worked

a while...my normal make up is not to blame I don't think, as when I am off work

my eyes calm quite well considering I have ocular rosacea, blepharitis,

meibomian gland dysfunction and dry eyes as well as sensitivities to many

products, sun and air conditioning! I don't know if I have food intolerance

maybe or hormonal probs too??? But anyway, I have been really suffering since I

got this job. I am not getting as much sleep (when I was not working I could

sleep a lot and I think this gave my eyes a lot of assistance in recuperating

from the onslaughts of the previous day and helped prepare them for the next!) -

I am sleeping; it's just that 7 hours is no good on my eyes...I need about 9 but

I'd still like to have some semblance of a life! I am coming home from work

after suffering all day and then I feel like I have no time off cos my eyes are

so troublesome! cAN ANYONE HELP, PLEASE? PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS? My skin is

getting very tender around my eyes, inflamed and swollen as well as sore to the

touch...this is worse around the tear ducts...the lids particularly on the

bottom around this area. I get swollen, tender there and then it seems to make

my eyes hotter, redder and drier. I do work in air conditioning. I have tried

flax seed oil but it made me itch and I read something about not being balanced

in omegas 3 and 6....I did not know what to couple it with anyway to redress

tehe balance to ensure I was getting the appropriate ratio of omega 6 and 3

(flax alone only provides a lot of omega 3, I think?? which leaves people

deficient in the other type 6? which has its own bad effects!) I have started

emu caps ....has any one with OR / dry eyes found these have helped with ocular

swelling, tenderness??? How long before I should see a difference?

I have found a good site called www.visionworksusa.com which has lots of

products which would appear helpful...this site had similasan eye drops....any

good, anyone? and a capsule called hydro tears which aims at repleneshing the

necessary nutrients to keep the eyes 'wet' and healthy?

Should I just try to sleep more?

Should I try to drink more water?

Aaagfhhh!!! Some one please help. My work can be quite stressful as I work with

adolescent boys with severe behavioural problems and educational difficulties! I

don't need sore eyes and rosacea too!

Please help some one!

Any diet modifications, lifestyle recommendations, product recs greatly

appreciated!!!!

I wear mascara but my eyes seem to get as sore without it! Can any one, however,

also recommend a very gentle mascara..recs would be welcomed from people who

have very sensitive eyes or OR.

PLEASE HELP!!!

TIA....praying for us all every day! Keep hope!

Thank you,
