Hi a,

I'm sorry we didn't cross paths in Durham, I don't know why but for some

reason I thought you would be there and I kept looking for you. Who's

depressed??????

Just let me at 'em!!!!! Give me my watermelon and salt shaker and I'm very

content. I

really feel good.

I had a few allergic reactions to the meds and tape but I expected that. I was

allergic to the antibiotic they gave me for the Mitral Valve Prolapse and had

hives

and itching. Then they knew I was allergic to Morphine so they gave me Demerol

for

pain and I was allergic to that as well, more hives and itching. They didn't

have any

other pain med in the hospital for my IV so they brought me two big horse pills

to

swallow right after surgrey. If I could have I would have laughed. I did manage

to

swallow one of them and then a couple of hours later I swallowed the second one.

That

was all I had for pain........ I didn't really need anything. I never even

opened the

pain pills once I got released. They forgot to remove the dressings from my

abdomen

before I left and I didn't remove them until Friday and now I'm fighting the

hives and

itching from the tape. That has been the worst part. I am tired of itching all

the

time but it's getting better. I can honestly say I feel great.

Bye,

Genz

Hi Flo,

How are you feeling?????? Isn't it great to be home? The first thing

my daughter Tenneil asked me last night was " how is Flo? " She loves reading

your posts. Everything here is great, and I'm feeling fine. Keep in touch.

Genz,

So glad you are back home and feeling great! How was the road trip

after surgery? I don't want to be a nag but are you supposed to

be eating foods already? Fantastic weight loss! Give me a holler

and we can meet at the juice bar in Dallas.

Hi Bernardine,

The road trip was wonderful! We went through Arkansas and Tennessee

on the way there and on the way back we went through SC, Georgia, Alabama,

Mississippi and Louisiana. We saw some beautiful country.

I am doing great! The foods I have tried have not been a problem. Of

course I am very careful about quantity. I am feeling better and better as

each day goes by. I am truly amazed by this surgery and my recovery. When I

first had my surgery, I had a problem with what I called an air bubble in my

stomach. Anything I swallowed would hurt me until this bubble moved and

allowed the liquid in. I consumed lots of Tums and it helped ease the

pressure from the bubble. Now I have no pain from liquids or solids. I feel

really good and I'm enjoying my way to a thinner me. I just made up my mind

before surgery that I was going to have an easy time of it and I have! I'm

really wanting a steady weight loss that is not too rapid so that I can save

my hair and skin from too much damage. I can hardly believe that I'm not

still struggling with that Patient Information Form and I'm already post-op.

HaHaHa. Let's meet at the juice bar soon.

Love,

Genz
