Guest guest
He does get lots of probiotics (and is also on nystatin). He wouldn't tolerate the intro diet (huge texture issues). He basically eats cashew butter muffins, almond pancakes, and the peanut butter cookies. He had a hard transition the first 5 days (slept 20 hrs a day, and was lethargic when he wasn't). We got our first formed stool day 3 (he has been gfcf for 2 yrs. with mashed pot. poop). I still can't fathom the amount he is pooping. Like 3 times the volume coming out than what is going in, lol, and the stools are massive, like softball size?! Why is this? I do put cooked pureed veggies in his muffins (squash, zucchini, carrots) and he eats pearsauce (about 1/4 c. 3 x a day to take supplements). Thanks, and Ty (3.6 yrs/autism) > What is he eating? > Raw or cooked fruit and veggies? > Any probiotics/yogurt etc.? > Did you start with the intro diet? > > Sheila, SCD 60 mos, 22 yrs UC > mom of Em and Dan >

Since he has improved stools and improved eye contact it sounds as if he is improving. The bloated belly may be from die off. Epsom salt baths and activated charcoal may help with this. If the bloated belly doesn't improve with the epsom etc. you might want to replace the cashewbutter muffins (since they are an advanced food item).
