Jenise,

I sorry that you didn't get good results with Dr. Conwell, but you have to keep

on try, even if it means going somewhere else. Since I have had pancreatitis for

the past 12 years , I have now come to the point that when ever I try a new

doc, I don't expect any good results. THis way I not disappointed. That is

what I did when I went to see Dr. Conwell. And I wasn't disappointed because I

was hoping that he could help me more than he did. I was hoping that they would

at least do a total pancreactomectomy(Sp), but they don't do them at Cleveland

Clinic. So I now about to give up because I didn't get the results, I'll just

have to try someone where else. Dr. Conwell did suggest that they try a

Splanchnicetomy. which is where to do nerve block first, & if they work then

they go in and cut the nerves. I had had nerve blocks both at OSU & CC before,

and they didn't work on me at either place, so I not going to try it again.

Hang in there and don't get discouraged, better days have to be ahead for you,

just keep the faith and keep on trying something new to you get good results.

Jenise, your letter that you wrote to Dr. Conwell didn't come thru. This site

doesn't let any attachments come thru, it strips them first. I would love to

see the letter that you wrote to him. If you don't mind, could you please send

it to me at my e-mail address which is: ehall@...

Hope you feeling better.

A Letter To Dr. Conwell

As you all know I went for my 2nd visit to Dr. Conwell yesterday. What a

disappointment! It was nothing like the first visit. I have attached the

letter I am mailing to him. I tried to email it to him, but I don't have a

correct addy for him. I'm glad to hear Louie had a good visit. Hopefully

things will work out for Louie with Dr. Conwell, but I don't know yet if they

will for me. Also wanted to let you all know that a study was discussed with

me to have a drug before my ERCP that might keep me from having an attack.

Will let you all know once I make up my mind if I go back how the study goes.
