Guest guest
Okay, I know this must get asked all the time, but searching hasn't worked well for me on this topic. When making the yogurt, 1) what method do you use if you don't have a yogurt maker. The book mentioned making yogurt in a crockpot on low, but I wonder if this would really be low enough? 2) Any specific recommendations for starter yogurt? Do you always buy starter as the book suggests? When I've made yogurt before I haven't had to do this. 3) The book confuses me on the yogurt--at one point there's mention of yogurt being introduced at a certain time, but it seems to be part of the intro. diet (particularly if you don't have dry curd cottage cheese, which leads me to... 4) Are most of you able to find dry curd cottage cheese? Is it the same as farmer's cheese--or, is farmer's cheese always okay? Thanks, I think we are going to start 1 week from today.
