Does anyone know if Jarred baby foods are legal? I give my son Beech

Nut Pears - the ingredients are listed as Pears , water, ascorbic acid.

I did a search thru all the messages posted here and there seems to be

doubt over whether it's illegal or not. I'd love to know if any of

the baby pureed friuts or veggies are legal.

Thanks

E

Dear E,

I sent Beech-Nut peas and beef jars to a food lab and they found

that the peas have 3.8% sucrose added and the beef have .2% starch

added, which is not mentioned on the label. That means they are not

legal, whatever they tell you.
