Are Jarred Baby Foods Legal?

Does anyone know if Jarred baby foods are legal? I give my son Beech

Nut Pears - the ingredients are listed as Pears , water, ascorbic acid.

I did a search thru all the messages posted here and there seems to be

doubt over whether it's illegal or not. I'd love to know if any of

the baby pureed friuts or veggies are legal.

No commercial jarred baby foods are legal. Beech nut had legal

troubles over what was in their baby food:

Homemade babyfood is legal. I used to make up large batches and

freeze it in ice cube trays.
