Hi Barbara,

has Kristy been tested for allergies? It's spring and I think my

hayfever problems began when I was 12 or 13. Hope Kristy will do

better soon, that must have been devastating for her to come off

stage.

Peace

Torsten

I don't have any answers or ideas, but hope that you will keep us

posted. This must be scary for both you and Kristy. I hope she

improves quickly.

Hi Torsten,

I forgot to mention that Kristy has had allergy probs all her life

and on top of the medicines I already mentioned she also takes

Zyrtec and uses a Nasonex Nasal Spray for hayfever/sinus. The

asthma clinic mentioned allergy tests at one stage for my older

daughter maybe it's time I ask Kristy's Specialist or our Local GP

about it! Can't hurt. Yes Spring has hit here with a vengance :(

I was feeling quite cocky because I seem to have avoided hayfever

then it hit full blast this week!

Thanks again,

Barbara

Becky,

Anxiety has crossed my mind because Kristy does experience anxiety

at times and especially since most episodes occur with the very

militant like PE Teacher! Kristy doesn't experience heart racing

etc I had asked her many questions about what happens during an

episode and it's only ever " can't get enough air so can't breathe

properly " .

I'm going to take Kristy back to her Local Doctor who knows her

better than the Specialist and see what he thinks, I'm also going to

ask about allergy tests.

Thanks again!

think it's anxiety. She gets it at school on occasion and most of

the time she knows she is going to the doctor. We have tried to

teach her some relaxation exercises and try to get her to think of

happy things...but in my opinion she will always have it. She feels

like her heart is beating out of her chest or skips a beat (she

can't quite describe it) as well as not feeling like she is gettting

enough air. No asthma and no heart problems, and her doc's wouldn't

change her med's anyway even if she had asthma because the med's

she's taking would help for asthma.
