Guest guest
I wanted to tell everyone hello. I feel like a distant relative since it's been so long that I have been able to read and post. I sent a post out a few days ago letting everyone know that I was always available by phone if they were not able to reach me by computer. I received several calls and very much enjoyed talking with each of you. I am glad that I was able to be of help. Talking with someone on the phone, hearing each other's voice, is a comfortable break from the scrolling and rolling through posts and web sites looking for an answer, information....a little hope......reality, even if it isn't the one we want. Anything is easier to accept, approach, and deal with when data is available. I do have to apologize, however, because I failed to forward the phone to my cell number, so if anyone tried to call today, I am sorry that you were not able to reach anyone. I am trying to be so careful about being available when anyone calls for many reasons. One reason, is of course, for anyone with the group or anyone seeking inquiries, communication is increasing with the symposium approaching, AND.....I need to pick up my little granddaughter when her brother says it is time for his delivery! Now, speaking of the symposium ... you need to know that plans are coming along so well. The speakers show earnest, enthusiasm, and awe with what we have done as an Organization. They are impressed with our stamina, our passion, our vision and mission, the lateral geographical growth of state and country chapters, and of course membership growth. They acknowledge they knew we were serious when we had our first symposium, but admitted their doubts that a second, certainly not a third, symposium would come to fruition. When I met when them their heads were shaking affirmatively, " Yes, I would be glad to talk. I would like to be a part of this. " Many People, Many Faces, One Voice. This is cool. I am having a blast. You can imagine how incredulous this feels compared to the usual response a Pancreatitis patient gets. So I am standing in front of the computer with both my arms extended forward, bent slightly at the elbows, double fists, twisted and turned to my right, then moving slowing as I twist and turn my waist to the left, my extended arms and fists jubilantly marching to the left, saying " Oh yeah, Oh yeah, it be cool, it be cool, Oh yeah " (My son taught me that!)
