Thinking about clinical trials, not only regarding hormone use but

also with respect to Dr. Nase's research and the laudable desire many

have expressed here to " do more " for rosacea.

I just logged onto www.clinicaltrials.gov, which is a site used to

recruit people for various clinical trials conducted by the National

Institutes of Health. It doesn't begin to list the majority of

research going on in the US, but it is a Web convenience and all

studies have the near-assurance of the highest quality research.

That's one of the downsides: they are so well-constructed and well-

regarded that they have their choice of subjects, it's hard to get

accepted into one of the studies. But those listed on the site are

actively recruiting.

Nothing when I searched 'rosacea', sadly, but this study may be of

interest for those who know or wonder if there's a connection between

their skin condition and one of the connective diseases:

Unrelated to rosacea, there are a number of clinical trials in

Alternative Medicine which may interest some of you (keep on

scrolling past all the cancer studies):

Nothing more on rosacea, and nothing I could find for photoderm or

lasers related to rosacea.

Nothing on growth hormone that doesn't involve treatment for a pre-

existing condition (but when searched under 'melatonin' several

studies return for treatment of depression)

But this is only a moment in time, new research is opening up all the

time. There's also other resources, though the list isn't available

to me right now. I'll look around as I have the time. I'm also aware

of the number of rosaceans from other countries that post here, and

I'll keep my eyes open for other countries as well. (Including those

Down Under who put shrimp-by-any-other-name on their barbie.)
