Guest guest
How to help reaction Hello, ya'll.......... (Please forgive me if three of these messages show up, as I am playing some sort of tag game with my various addresses and Yahoo Mail. Ugh) I am new to this group, so I apologize in advance if I missed anything in the FAQ. I guess my cea has slipped up a notch into a new stage in the last year or so. What used to be a once a year flare up is now every few weeks. What used to work at the doc, now does not work at all, and I am (SBT) getting into a round of docs. After reading the posts in this group, I am feeling enlightened somewhat, and _not_ so alone. Seems I have sort of this combination of seb/derm _and_ rosacea. No creams, or topicals work at all, and in fact have caused me to have these horrible " reactions " to them. My face gets all red and splotchy, and totally puffy all over. I thought this was bad the first few time I reacted to Nizoral cream, then to a cortizone based lotion, and then to the docs last " let's try this. " But, now my concern is the fact that my face is having the same " full-blown " reaction to something as simple as the wrong soap. The last time I reacted my (non-dermatologist, regular doc) gave me Predisone, and that cleared up the reaction nicely within days. So now, here I am a week after the Predisone with a totally blown-up face after _just_ using my wife's " Phisoderm " soap? I guess my question is, what the heck to you do about this type of reaction? I can't see living on Predisone tapers, and I can't see going out in public looking like this. Any advice on how to tame the reaction once it kicks in???????
