Guest guest
Hey guys, the day a mother and father have been waiting for since she was born! I can not believe it. We have made a few errors this last five days, with sorbitol...and hidden " illegals " that we are now learning to be MORE CAUSTIOUS about. Yet we couldn't belive it this morning. We went to Whole Foods as a family. Our one year old daughter who acts mildly autistic (yet we have yet to see a DAN to confirm)noticed and AIR PLAN in the sky for the first time in her life! Her eyes where so big, and she was in AWH of her world. She even started to point to different cars in the parking lot, and whe we went into the store, she was pointing at everything like she had never " seen " it before! YOu guys have to realize that this is the same kid that use to be whinney all, time, withdrawn, never tried to communicate (yet point to things. She communicates by screaming, throwing tantrums, crying and whinning (yet never a real word. It has always been a chalenge to take her anywhere without her constantly wanting to nurse, hide in my arms...or cry! Very needy, " shy " , aloof and just miserable when out of her " safety " zone her home or my constant holding her. When she was a baby the lights, sounds and everything seemed to over stimulate her, and she would fall into a sleep " out of defence " . She slept most the time when out and about. It was almost on " will " . It became rather frightening. On the " paleo diet " it worked some (it gave us hope) but not like this! THANK YOU ELAINE. I wish I had been ready to hear your message, read your book sooner! Our daughter has yet to talk...now that she is wanting to " interact " with the world...I hope that this will be happening soon. She even is trying to play WITH her sister today. Something new. It brings tears to my eyes, I hope that she has a better life than I have had. I never learned how to play as a child...she reminded my so much of how my mother describe me to be....I look forward to this diet helping me go that extra mile too. I could afford to be much more happy. We will be looking into having her and our son evaluated for extra help. My pediatrician will help us, and I will be informing her of our SCDIET change. Right this minute she is giving me a hug...something that is also NEW! She looks so much happier. I hope that we can keep the " illegals " away better! How do we know when all the " bad " gut guys are gone? How long does this take? Do we need prescriptions or other remedies to aid in this?
