Hi,

I'm new here. I " m 27, recently diagnosed with rosacea. I also have

some problems with acne, but my new derm tells me that the main

problem is rosacea. I'm on noritate for the time being, but my derm

said he might move me to antibiotics if the topical cream doesn't

work. My questions: 1. I'm on birth control, but not as a barrier

to pregnancy, only to lighten and regulate my periods. Is it still

ok to take tetracycline or other antibiotics? 2. do tetracycline

and other antibiotics used to treat rosacea cause yeast infections in

women?

Also, has anyone found success with changing their diet? I don't eat

much spicy food, but I do drink two or more cups of coffee a day.

Has anyone found cutting out caffeine to be helpful?

thanks in advance for any help.
