Guest guest
Tara, A few things can cause excessive thirst, from weak kidney function to detoxing, especially from the strain die off can cause. Myself and my youngest son are pre-diabetic, actually I am diabetic, he is hypo, but we completely control our symptoms and sugar levels with this diet. My oldest is only slightly glycemic. (See the vaccination injuries to the pancreas?) The beginning can be rough. I think it is a good idea to find out if diabetes is an issue, but also, even foods that are SCD legal can aggravate hypoglycemia and diabetes. Follow up on the testing front, but on this front, what foods is your child eating? I believe that SCD is the perfect diet for controlling diabetes, if that is even an issue for you. I hope it is only detox, and possibly an unrecognized food allergy (very possible still, even 21/2 months SCD). So, please tell us what your child is eating, in case I or someone here has an observation of it. Summer davis brandijacksondavis@...> wrote: If you are using stevia, it can cause excessive thirst. I do know that when your body is detoxing you get much more thirsty. This is normal and is a good sign in and of itself (connected with the drunkeness, though . . . again, I am unsure). Jeni Lynn (gastrointetinal problems) SCD 3 weeks Excessive drinking of water Hi, I have just joined this chat room, althought my sister posted a message awhile ago on my behalf. My son is 2 1/2 years old and has severe autism. We have been on the SCD diet for since January. I think in general things are improving for him but I wanted to find out if anyone had the following symptoms: For the first few weeks he was extremely lethargic, drank huge quantities of water and was extremely clumsy (like a drunk person). His energy has come back for the most part but he still drinks excessively and continues to look drunk. I am wondering if it is normal part of the detox process or if it is something else. I going to have his urine tested for diabetes and I have started giving him primrose oil. Has anybody experienced these symptoms? Any ideas?
