Are your fingernails growing faster? If you're getting the right dosage and combination, in nearly every case I've worked with, myself included, the fingernails start to grow like crazy. Again, if this dosage works stick with it for awhile then slowly cut back until you find the minimal dosage that works best for you In fact, supplementing with EFA oils actually makes you leaner. Here's why…First off it balances out your body's regulatory mechanisms (those hormones that regulate body weight). Second, it improves your body's ability to burn fat…EFAs speed up the rate at which the body burns fat and glucose when you ingest them in quantities of more then 12 to 15% of your total calories (usually more then 3 tablespoons a day for most people). Third, EFA oils have a thermogenic effect on the body. They increase metabolic rate. They are known in Ayurveda medicine as " heat " producers because of the way they speed up the metabolic rate. Bodybuilders have been using EFAs for years to maintain low 6% body fat ratios. If you are trying to lower your body fat I highly recommend you take EFAs in quantities of 3 tablespoons or more a day. In fact I know bodybuilders that take no less then 10 tablespoons of EFA oils a day prior to competition to drop body fat.
