What you're looking for is called Facewaves. It's available from

http://www.makeupmania.com/Details/TI-0195-01-001.cfm

Facewaves also has a website that sells the mitt, but I can't seem to find

it w/ a google search.

I have found that the mitt is good for one of my 2 face washings a day - I

use it in the am. I have found that using it exclusively for a few days

straight, my face isn't is clean as I would like - the pores around my nose

seem larger, because there's residue left in them (usually from makeup).

Consequently, I use my normal cleanser at night (Aveno creamy baby cleanser

or Almay Kinetin face cleanser).

So, it isn't perfect, but by cutting my chemical use in half, my skin is

less annoyed!

Subject: " cleansing mitt " that uses no soap or cleanser

This may be helpful to those of you (like me) who haven't been able

to find a cleanser that works without irritating. I've been using a

product for about 4 months called FACEWAVES that is used with

water only, no cleanser. It's a thin " mitt " that fits over your hand

and is made of a very soft, fine looped terrycloth-like material. I

just saturate the mitt in warm filtered water and gently clean off my

makeup using as light a pressure as I can and still remove the

makeup. I use a water-based makeup that comes off fairly easily with

it. (When I've used ZincO or any other sunscreen, it doesn't work as

well, as I've had to resort to somekind of soap.)

The pressure from the mitt is a little abrasive and my face is pink

afterwards, but it generally goes away fairly quickly. And I've found

that the mechanical pressure is less irritating and certainly not as

long lasting as irritation I get from any of the cleansers or mild

soaps.

When I've finished washing my face, I just wash it out with a mild

bar soap (Cetaphil) while it's on my hand and then wring it out and

hang it to dry. It seems to be some kind of microfiber and dries very

quickly.

If any of you are interested, there's a picture and a description at

http://www.makeupmania.com/Details/TI-0195-01-001.cfm -

and it's $12 and will probably last indefintely.

It's not perfect, and ideally I would prefer something that requires

less rubbing, but it's the best I've been able to come up with for

now!
