My husband & I use this, but it ain't a sunblock! I can say that it isn't

greasy, stinky or stingy, so its better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Deryk, here is an excerpt from an email I sent a friend recently, in response to

her asking me what sunscreens I use (references to money are in US dollars):

Here are the ones I've used (none of which irritate my face) in order of

preference:

Clinique City Block SPF 15 and Clinique Super City Block SPF 25. These are

really nice, and not at all greasy. All other sunscreens I use are somewhat

greasy. These two rely purely on physical sunblocks (either titanium dioxide or

zinc oxide), no chemicals. It's a 1.4 ounce tube for about $13.

I ordered the next three from http://www.dermatologistrx.com/. Some of them

might have mixed physical and chemical sunscreens, but I'm not sure.

M.D. Forte Aftercare Environmental Protection Cream SPF 30, product ID 3602, 2.5

oz. $14.50. This one is pretty nice on the face, although slightly greasy. I

wore it every day in St. Lucia last month and came home without a hint of sun on

my face.

Person and Covey Solbar Zinc SPF38, product ID 4523, 4 oz. $11.00. OK stuff,

but fairly greasy. Couldn't find it looking at sunscreens on the

DermatologistRX site, but found it under Person_Covey products at that site.

Vanicream Sunscreen SPF15, product ID 6803, found on Web page under Vanicream

products but not under sunscreens. This is gentle and not greasy, but kind of

makes you look like you're wearing Kabuki makeup.

Can anyone suggest some good non-irritating(for both rosacea and sd)

and non-acnegenic mosturizers and sunblocks. I've seen that Cetaphil

now has a mosturizer with 15 spf--has any tried this and can vouch for it?

I've been using the Dermalogica moisturizers (the active moist is

great) and sunblocks for years. They have a wonderful SPF 30 booster

that you can add to your regular moisturizer or use alone. Never

break out with it. Absorbs quickly and without any greasy feeling.

They are a little more expensive than alot of other blocks, but for

one who breaks out at the drop of a hat (namely moi) they've been a

life-saver.
