Guest guest
Well, the fact of the matter is, Dr Lazoff is correct. Since homeopathic/alternative medicine is not as heavily regulated as traditional and allopathic medicines, you're more likely to get ripped off in terms of ingredients. Its happened many times before, and until the FDA takes a more active role in investigating more of these homeopathic drug manufacturers, its going to happen in the future. Dr. Lazoff's opinion is not just one of a doctor, but with many patients as well. I've seen some drugs where the amount of active ingredient is almost nonexistent, and is basically just water. So you have to wade through a lot of sh*t to get to the good stuff. And just to make the point even further, here is what Dr. Lazoff HERSELF posted in the message you were responding to: " I've expressed this thought before: in theory I don't see a distinction between traditional and non-traditional health care. I see one world -- one in which treatments with well-documentated safety and efficacy are dispensed in a competent, humane manner by knowledgable, well-trained practitioners without secondary agendas. I see how easy it is to get seduced by nutritional supplements and diets -- so hopeful, so comforting to believe in, how can something so " natural " be anything but healthy. but that also doesn't mean there isn't truth nestled here within the hype, and that's what I'm interested in. " I agree with her 100%. I for one am glad to have a scientific- minded person like Dr. Marjory on this board. Finally we can get some real discourse and research here to pour through all the hype (take my word for it, there has been a LOT of hype. I've been here since the inception of the original E-scribe forum), and the few major breakthroughs have been from the " know-it-alls " like Dr. Nase, Dr. Sy, and now some great insights from Dr. Marjory.
