I will be attending the meeting later this week in Phoenix and would like to meet with social scientists, service providers, or others in attendance who work with migrants, particularly groups of Hispanic men who travel to the U.S. unaccompanied by wives or girlfriends, and who have studied, observed, or possibly linked up with social support networks or relations that often occur among migrants in their destination areas.

I wish to learn about observations and experiences with these social support structures for purposes of further developing some ideas about HIV/AIDS prevention activities for Hispanic migrants and their sexual partners.

I regret the late timing of this query, but would like to hear from any subscribers who will be at the Phoenix meeting and have experience in the areas described above. I will follow up at the meeting.

Thanks,

Tom Painter
