Guest guest
Della, I live in Atlanta and use the services of Dermatology Associates. Supposedly, they have the largest laser center in the southeast. For rosacea, they have pulsed dye, VBeam, and photoderm. A dermatologist does the laser treatments and a technician who only does photoderm and treatment for leg veins does the photoderm. I don't believe the pulsed dye laser is used very frequently for rosacea since they have had the VBeam for two years. The VBeam is milder on the skin but does require more treatments. However, there is generally no downtime as with pulsed dye. Costs vary with the amount of area to be treated. I believe (but don't quote me) that a full facial VBeam is $300 to $350. Photoderm is around $300. You could try to get reimbursement from your insurance company but I wouldn't count on it. Perhaps others on this board can recount any success stories. You mentioned already having a dermatologist. If you are ever looking for another, Dr. Bette Potter at Dermatology Associates is excellent. a I need ballpark figures for laser treatments. >I haven't posted before, but I read the posts daily. >I believe I have suffered from rosacea since my late >teens. Guest guest
Della, that is where I had my v-beam treatments, which were very successful in treating my rosacea. I had Dr Potter. The fee for doing my nose was $250 a treatment. The first visit was a test spot and cost $75. I've had a total of 6 or 7 treatments. I need ballpark figures for laser treatments. > I haven't posted before, but I read the posts daily. > I believe I have suffered from rosacea since my late > teens.
