Guest guest
Hi I just read your recent post ( some of which I have inlcuded with this ) and I am most interested in your comments. I will send a similar e-mail to the group as well Okay , let's see how best I can comment on your thoughts. 1.ON serb. and rosacea, I don't think a lot of us have a condition exactly like serb. derm., Yep, I sure so agree with you here. I have tried the seb stuff and it does not work. When I get recs from the med. profession that says this or that works on seb yet it does not work for me. My conclusion is that I do not have seb. I guess I could say that the med. professionanals are wrong but I dunno if I should. The rx stuff that is rec. is clinically tested, isn't it. I mean, I don't think for a moment that the latest $300 skin creme is gonna chnage my wrinkles just cause the company producing so. they can say anything. But I just don't see how so many of us are not responding to things specifically developed for rosacea or seb or hihg blood pressure or whatever?? 2. remember the skin has a natural balance and if something weakens or upsets this balance then one condition will give way to another. i agree with this as well. One derm, a long time ago, one of the ones who did not think that I had rosacea said that my skin was underwashed and overmoisturizer. Another derm, to whom I sent pics, said that my skin condition was the result of doing too much. He said lay off the creams and the foundations. Now, it kinda makes sense. But back then, i was hell bent on finding something to fix my skin. 3. A yeast problem likes oily skin in which to grow and flourish, thats why I have had much sucess with washing throughly with neug. sensitive skin soap, followed by through rinsing of all soap off, then drying skin throughly with hair dryier, and not applying anything to these areas unless you just have too. And I think now, based on your observations, why the Dr. Sy vita-oil did not work. I used to put it on a damp skin as suggested. And withing a couple of days, without fail, I tried this several times with a time period in between, and within a day or two of using the oil on a wet skin, my skin actually became flakier. Guess I was growing my own crud since i was giving it an ideal condition in which to flourish. Heat from my face, oil nad the water. Voila, perfect environment. Now after all of that, what am I doing. first of all, no foundations, believe me for a woman this is hard. Secondly, I wash both AM and PM. for a while, i thought all this flaky skin was dry so it would be best not to wash in the AM, just splash with water. right now I am using a water soluable cleanser from SAGE available at www.zerozits.com and, I guess I must stop this as well A hydrating mask/moisturizer from SAGE as well. I contains salicylic acid which according to Dr. Nase is a big NO NO and according to Dr. Sy, it is okay. The first few times I used this mask/moisturizer, the crud that literally peeling off my skin was scary. Like you took a huge eraser and scruffed it against a piece of paper. Except, i wasn't scrubbing, it peeled away under my finger tips. BTW. I did the noritate, the metros and that stuff is just awful > makes my skin flakier. But I guess, it jsut gave the yeast a place to grow. Thanks so much for sharing
