I totally agree with Heidi on this...I have been finding out more

and more about the pros of antioxidant therapy. Many doctors

won't even mention it or even stick their noses up about it.

Strangely enough, my psychiatrist started me on antioxidant

therapy...it just happened that it is something he has studied for

over 20 years. I had another doctor tell me that I should just stop

wasting the money on them, it wouldn't help...well, I feel better

than I ever have--more energy, in fact even my hair and nails are

longer and thicker than ever. The list of benefits goes on and on,

besides minimizing the free radicals and possibly hindering

cancer it also basically slows down the aging process in general

(now this may be more pronounced in so called " healthy "

people) but every bit helps!

I take vitamins, but I also try to eat healthy as much as possible

to get the nutrients from the food--you really can't substitute

vitamins for food and expect great results. As for alcoholic

pancreatitis in relation to the lack of antioxidants I can see where

I probably did some serious damage in my past. When I used to

drink I was basically on a " liquid diet " you could say...I just

couldn't eat or didn't feel hungry when I drank. It makes me sick

to think what it was doing to my body. Just my 2 cents!

Thanks!
