Guest guest
Pasted below and attached is the final compilation, as of 7-1-03, of the list of National Spanish Language Help Lines generated by the Migrant Health Research Listserv and Oregon's Ad Hoc Committee on Migrant & Seasonal Farmworker Health. The list has been alphabetized, but other groups may be preferable. (I've always included the " 1 " -800, because the professionals in our building often get confused and forget the 1 when first calling long distance.) Islara Souto of the Sylvester Cancer Center at the University of Miami, is going to send the list to the National Council of La Raza, who can hopefully expand and/or disseminate it. It would seem wise to also translate the document into Spanish. If people are aware of any national resources in any of the indigenous dialects, such as Mixteco, we should also include those. The ones that I am aware of here in Oregon are local or statewide only and I've incorporated them in our Oregon version. For use in Oregon I also included the three major legal resource and referral numbers. Thank you all for your help.
