Guest guest
Hi everyone. I had my pain mgmt. appt. yesterday, and it went really well. I saw three docs, one of which is my brother's best friend. They all knew about me and that my pain is for real, so it really helped. They put me on Elavil (which is an antidepressant that is used to treat chronic pain). I HATE IT! I know I'm supposed to wait a while for this to get into my system and all, but I woke up so groggy and hateful, with the most horrible headache. I had a " mini-attack " last night (one that I can handle and goes away pretty quick), and this stuff did nothing for me. I have no pain meds, and I'm feeling something bad brewing right now. The dull pain has started, and I'm afraid a trip to the ER is forthcoming. Does anyone take Elavil for chronic pain? If so, let me know how you like it and if it works well for you. I'm so frustrated right now. I have a celiac block next Thursday - the day after my birthday - Happy B-day to me, right!!! I'd also like to know people's experiences with this, as well. Thanks for any info you can pass on to me. in KY
