Patty,

I am sorry that Cassie suffers with eczema, also. I have developed this and

am just learning about it. I understand that it is an immune system disorder,

and is greatly affected by stress. Does her outbreaks appear rough, dry, and

crusty?

You know, with as many things and as many times that our psycho-emotional

status can initiate an exacerbation of Pancreatitis, eczema, herpes,

shingles, and other nervous system disorders, it just seems logical that if

stress brought it on, then calmness and stress relief and reduction should,

by the basis of some physics law, remove the exacerbation. I really believe

this.

For example, certain stresses can take me from fine to a 10 point scale of

pain in zero to 60 flat, and have me in a fetal position crying for relief.

That is a lot of power that I have given to that stressor. I am convinced tha

t I have that same power and that same ability to channel that energy. I just

need to figure out how to use psycho-kinetic energy to take me from a fetal

position and 10 point scale of pain to a meditative state in 60 to zero, in

reverse.

My stepdaughter had really bad eczema when she was younger. We were told to

have her soak in a tub for at least 30 minutes and then put a heavy cream on

without drying off much. They said eucerin cream is good but expensive when

used daily for the entire body. They said crisco shortening works just as well

as eucerin. The main trick is the soaking in the water before putting the cream

on. It helped her a lot.
