Ok, So much great info here, I love it. I too have always thought my

" cea " symptoms were hormomally triggered. I mean I would be red and

stuff all the time, but my major breakouts seem to definitely follow a

monthly pattern. I am using the cea LTD products currently. Having

pretty good luck. Been doing it for about 6 weeks. My redness has really

improved. So has the tenderness and inflamation. I still am having

breakouts. Mine are like the poster described earlier, they weep stuff that

sometimes actually drip off my face. Mine are not like any pimple I have

ever seen or had. They start as kindof a red raises bump that itches. Then

inevitively I scratch it at some point and it breaks. Its like the head is

all full of water or something. This forms an open sore that continally

oozes. It is impossible to cover with anything. It runs down my face like at

night and I wake with big crusted places on my face. It does not seem oily

though.Sometimes the sores swell to enormous size and really get inflammed

looking. My derm has in the past had me come in and injected something in to

them to make them heal faster. I assume it is some form of cortisone. I did

that a few times and didnt really see any faster results, but they are

really painful. So far though the LTD has kept them at bay, i do have to use

it every day or I notice things getting bad again. So for now I have small

sores all over my face but they do heal much faster now.

I also hate it when they start to heal because they flake up really bad

around them. I cannot get that to stop. My derm suggested a bar soap that I

believe is called Zinc, it looks like a solid form of head and shoulders. It

does help a little, but burns slightly when I am sensitive. So my main

problem is the sores. I can cover the redness and veins, but I feel like a

leper as a previous poster said. I cannot believe how many times I have said

that. My derm had gotten to the point where he didnt have any more options

and was recommending a chemical peel. I said no way. That just sounds like a

disaster waiting to happen. So I have went out on my own for treatment. The

Noritate didnt seem to help much. Derm said I was too mild a case for the

Accutane, I disagree. But who knows. I just want to not have sores all the

time.

Another question I have is about make up. I have a sample of the Sy

concealing powder and like it. It seems a bit dark still on me and sometimes

since I am drier in the winter it like cakes and seems to settle in the

wrinkles and exagerate the flakes. Has anyone tried any of the other non

talc foundation powders out there? How do they compare to the Sy ones?

I really need good coverage. The Sy powder does seem to not break me out

more like most foundations I have tried that are drug store brands.

Thanks for letting me vent and I hope you all can suggest a good base and

maybe even some help for my sores. Keep hanging in there you all!

Lora
