Guest guest
I agree with Darlene and don't overpack for the hospital. You have an IV the whole time and can't put on your own gown. They didn't remove my IV until it was time to be discharged. It is nice to have someone there with you if at all possible. I couldn't sleep because of those gizmos on my legs breathing every time I dozed off. I had to keep getting up all night to go to the potty and couldn't get those things unhooked by myself. Originally my husband was going to a motel but I kept needing something so bless his heart he stayed with me all night. I stayed awake and talked to him most of the night. I had very little pain only used the morphine pump a few times didn't even get my pain meds filled when I left the hospital haven't needed them at all. I slept on my tummy the night I came home from the hospital. I didn't even have that much pain from the gas! I have truly been very blessed!! Good luck to all seeking this surgery!!
