Guest guest
Dear & GT, Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I am definitely going to try the glucosomine and am working on reducing sugar & carbs in my diet. I do think there is a diet as well as hormonal component to the swelling. , did you ever go to an endocrinologist? I guess that will be the next doctor in a long list of doctors that I will have to see. Luckily, I have a very good derm who is treating me aggressively and has never minimized or dismissed the disorder. Unfortunately, my nose swelling persisted to such an extent that it has advanced to mild-stage rhinophyma. I am currently taking low-dose accutane and am having bi-monthly V-beam treatments to control and hopefully stop the swelling and growth. The process has been slow, but there are days when my nose looks " near " normal. I am only midway through my treatment, so there is still hope. I have to believe that since my nose looks near normal some of the time that the swelling can be stopped. I also feel very lucky that the cheek swelling has stopped. & GT, please feel free to email me at mgbhg@.... Heidi
