Jojoba Oil as Cleanser/Makeup Remover

When someone cannot afford the Pevonia cea products but react to

everything under the sun we usually start with certified organic jojoba oil

as cleanser and moisturizer. Make sure if you are going to try this that you

are still exfoliating somehow - very light pressure with a wash cloth works -

and that you are massaging the oil around for at least 2 minutes per

cleansing with very light pressure using upward and outward circles until

your entire face & neck are covered. The benefits you will see from daily

facial massage include increased lymphatic drainage and increased cellular

proliferation. Facial massage also greatly reduces comedones in my

experience by keeping the pores soft so they can accomodate fluctuating

amounts of sebum production. Massage is equally important on your

moisturizer whether you use just oil or oil & cream w/lt. sunblock.

Obviously if you have a problem with excess sebum production using more oil

is not going to help your situation so this would be contraindicated. Also

if you sweat alot I would be concerned that the oil might not be exactly the

best choice. Make sure to rinse your skin well in any event and pat the

water in instead of toweling it off when you are done. Pretend that your

hands are support stockings for your face so that they are flat and molded to

every nook and cranny and press and repeat. Vary the tempo and pattern daily

to keep yourself amused.
