Guest guest
Hello! I'm new to this group but have been dealing with rosacea for about two and a half years. My main trigger is the cold weather. But I still have occasional flare ups in the summer too. For almost the past year, I have had a nearly " clear " complexion and I thought I'd share my routine so that it might help someone else. I always use Plexion face wash (morning and night) followed by Metrolotion. After I put that on and it has absorbed into my skin I put Oil of Olay moisturizer on my cheeks (my t-zone is sensitive so I skip the moisturizer on those areas). (I use Nightime Oil of Olay at night.) That is my cold weather routine. For the summer I stop the Oil of Olay and substitute it with 100% aloe vera gel (found at most health food stores. Aubrey is a great brand for that product though hard to find). I also take Flax Seed Oil vitamins, which I think is beneficial to this routine. If I sway from this routine, I get a flare up. I recently ran out of my Plexion face wash while on vacation and sure enough within three days of not using it I got a small flare up. It took about a week to subside once I refilled my prescription. Won't let that happen again! I hope this might help someone out there!
