I have been taking Roacutane for more than a year now. I do notice that

my " MAY " be falling faster than it did. I cannot be sure though since it

was falling and I have been pretty stressed since I found out I had

cea. Other than that I have NO other side effects : no libido thing,

no cholesterol either. I take 10 mgs now. Went up to 40 for sometime. 5

mgs don't do much to me. Itching returns and pimples as well. Stupid

sickness.

RE: cea Treatment with Accutane/Roaccutane.

My experience with 5mg daily...I,m male.

After about one month i noticed a decrease in libido. Being only 32 that

was bad news.I hated the feeling i was getting down there...actually no

feeling...like it wasn't there any more.....if you can understand that.

Around month 3 or 4 i started noticing i was shedding hair in the

shower. Another wonderful side effect from this drug. I managed to take

the drug for about 6 or 7 months, until i couldn't handle it any

more.....decrease in libido...thinning hair.....what the hell i was

doing to myself . Now its been about 3 months off the drug, my libido is

back( thank you God) and my hair is not shedding like it was. ANY skin

benefit i recieved from the drug didn't last once i stopped. So your doc

is right about having to take it for a long long time maybe forever. But

your doc is not right about the cholesteral thing. I talked to a guy who

managed to take 5mgs for about 5 years...But his doc took him off

because his cholesteral was going through the roof..

Will all this shit happen to you? who knows? Only time will tell. It

would benefit the group if you posted every couple months to let us know

how the accutane is treating your body. Hopfully you will report only

good news. Good Luck.
