Guest guest
I took the drug Accutane over 2 years ago to treat persistent acne. During the course of my treatment I noticed my face would get red and hot most of the time. Things like a warm room or slight exertion would trigger it. My derm told me it would go away after treatment, but it did not. In fact, it has gotten very severe and via my photoderm doctor and this support group, I have come in to contact with a number of others who are in the same situation after taking Accutane. My doctor wants to know how many others this has happened to, wants to take that information and share it with specialists in the field. He is most interested in writing a major journal article about it to get this information out to the medical community. Additionally, I have heard that Dr. Nase has taken interest in this topic as well. If you have a red face with hot burning sensations, and think it may have occured after using Accutane, please notify me and I will give your name to my doctor. He is one of the leading photoderm doctors in the country. Once this information is made clear to the medical community, research will be done. This may in turn help all of us that are suffering from this disorder. Thank you in advance, Tracey Sims _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
