Gold Bond follow-up and Lupicare question

I was skeptical, but after using the Gold Bond lotion for a week now,

my flakiness is under control. Who knew! Thanks, snoskiman! I love the

cooling effect of the menthol, which I truly thought would aggravate

the redness, but it doesn't. And it absorbs quickly and isn't greasy.

I'm using the yellow bottle rather than green to start with since it

has lower concentrations of the two active ingredients, dimethicone

and menthol. CVS also has its own brand of this for a dollar less a

bottle, which I haven't tried yet.

On another note: Has anyone used Lupicare products to control seb derm

flakes? It's advertised for seb derm and psoriasis, to name a few.

The active ingredient is salicylic acid. I recently purchased a small

jar of the cream from their Web site (lupicare.com) and will try an

experiment. I'll use Gold Bond on one side of my face and Lupicare on

the other morning and night to see which works best.

I've been a lurker in the group for some time, but wanted to also pass

along my regimen. I wash with Aveeno Baby Care cleanser, followed

recently with the Gold Bond as a moisturizer. Then I pat on just a bit

of the Sy Tinted Zinco on the redder areas, then follow with

just a slight dusting all over my face of Jane Iredale Amazing Base

loose powder. I must say this product is truly amazing for me. It

really hides the little red capillaries on both cheeks. People who

know I have rosacea want to know if I've been " cured " since my skin

looks so " normal. "

Thanks for all your great advice!

The reason why I post the replies is because I keep getting questions and

results sent to me directly (which I don't mind). With all of the doubters

posts, I want the people that may be influenced by doubters posts that the

Gold Bond is working. I am not rubbing it in anyone's face and I don't have

anything to prove. I will keep posting these results as I think many people

are interested in it judging by the amount of direct emails I am getting.

These posts are not " I told you so " posts. If you wanted to be the judge,

you might want to contact the people that monitor this message board as they

read each individual post and decide if it is worthy of being posted.
