Guest guest Posted May 29, 2000 Report Share Posted May 29, 2000 Judi, I think Dr R. will be back on July 10th. Barbara said she didn't want him to have to tackle my case his first day back. (LOL). (due to the adhesions) You can get a date with Dr. R's office, but that doesn't mean you won't have to cancel it if insurance denies. I will self pay if I have to, but I hope to get approved with Aetna, their track record is awesome. I have been on this list since the beginning of March and have weathered a denial and appealed and denied on appeal. The hospital where I work is self insured and excludes WLS. It is pretty much iron-clad even ERISA can't help. I changed my status at work to part-time and dropped my health insurance so I could be picked up on Aetna with my husband's employer. I will be covered as of June 1st. My PCP has EVERYTHING to send in for referral to Dr. R. and Barbara has my stuff changed for after the 1st. ALL PRAYERS NEEDED. My sleep apnea has worsened, I woke up last night with terrible chest pain, and short of breath. I can't wait for July 12.
