When I called the derm that prescribed it to me he acted very unconcerned, and to be honest was a real jerk. At that point I decided it was time to find another derm. I went to my first appt with the new derm. She seemed truly concerned and it seemed like she was really listening to me. She told me to use an over the counter cortisone cream to help calm my face down. When I told her I heard that hydrocortisone can induce cea she agreed with me. But she said the over the counter type will not because of the very low dosage. She also said the presciption hydrocortisone is more potent even if it says .05%. She said those numbers do not mean anything with it comes to potency. So I went a bought Aveeno 1% coritson cream. On the package it lists that it can be used for seb derm.
