Guest guest
Hi gang: Well, I have been using my below recipe makeup for 4 days and I am extremely happy with it!! I had to increase the amounts of yellow, brown, and orange iron oxides a tad. Basically just increase to rounded or heaping 1/4 tsp of each in recipe below. Also, at first it was a bit shiny so I had to increase the amount of powder (after mixed and sifted) I added to the glycerin before applying. I just dab a tiny amount of glycerin on my finger then press it into the powder, really coating it. Mix between fingers a bit, maybe add a little more powder, then dot it all around and rub in. This way it's not shiny at all and looks matte and exactly like regualar makeup. I think even better than many makeups. It's natural looking too. It's not cake-like at all. Looks wonderful and even better protects from the sun and absolutely no sensitivity or breakouts (acne or rosacea) at all. I learned that glycerin is ideal for regular, dry, and oily skin since it moisturizes without clogging pores (www.paulaschoice.com). I hope some of you benefit from my recipe below. The way I look at it is I would rather put something on my skin that is good for it and will help it rather than just try to get by with regular lotions and makeups hoping they will just not irritate. Why live with that when you can have something simple and helpful? Patty > Well, I think I did it.
