Guest guest
Good Luck! In the beginning it is so hard. We went from the Standard American Diet, to the SCD. It was a major adjustment. But, other healthy ways come so easy now also. And the benefits are so great! We were all very crabby but, we've mellowed out and now we are happier than we were before too. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Yes we jumped alright! I can't hardly stand feeling sick again!. We had so much success last summer eating the paleo diet. I hate feeling sick again. I just hate it. I trust that the SCDiet is the answer...it is paleo after all...with so much more to offer. My husband, bio son and adopted daughter are lucky...they are eating a strict SCDiet also...but unlike me and my 21 month old bio daughter are able to tolerate everything allowed on the SCDiet. I need some reassurance that this will pass...today is awful! Feeling overwhelmed and sick. I will reread everything....and take it MUCH SLOWER! If I remember right it took six weeks to two months last time! YUCK! Antoinette (Entire family day 16.....(Celiac Disease, Gluten Allergy, ASD, ADHD, Depression......) " Jumping " ? The Stages are not a required procedure or written as part of SCD. They are a guideline for those who are unsure what to add and when. Elaine suggested once diaharrea clears up to add foods of your choice in small amounts and do it gradually. We advise keeping a log of what was added and any effects noted. Simply keep it simple for you and the baby. You will catch up. feed the rest of the family as you have ben doing. i assume you have chosen to give them SCD legal foods since you mentioned that before. Yogurt, peanuts, seeds, beans and raw foods don't get added at the beginning. Dried fruits should always be used in small amounts when they are added. Everyone will benefit by reading BTVC several times and studying the websites for the diet. Carol F.
