juicer as is? Thanks. Jenn & Kali 8 months scd

I make two good juice combinations:

beet, watermelon strawberry with a little ginger. I trim the root of the beet

but don't peel

it.

The other drink is pear, kale, dandelion greens and ginger. I use part of the

stalk of the

dandelion but break off some of the kale.

I dilute both with water

Hi Jenn,

if you can eat the roots or stems of the beets?

You can eat both the stems and root with beets, but the stems of beets

are fibrous so don't overdo it ; go slow the first time.

Should they be cooked first. My daughter is tolerating fresh uncooked juices

and fruits but, in tiny amt's. She cannot tolerate them cooked or pureed.

Hi Jenn,

If they are juiced, they don't have to be cooked.
