Guest guest
Hi - I use Noritate- - since I was diagnosed only about a month ago. I wash my face (with Aveeno creamy baby wash- which I just started using this week) in the evening and apply the Noritate after my skin is dry. It doesn't feel dry so I don't apply any moisturizer. I moisturize in the am after washing my face in the shower. I am waiting for the Moisture Surge I ordered because I am now seeing fine lines appearing and I am freaking out!!! I have only been to one derm and she wasn't very helpful- I don't know what I would do without this group! I am not sure what, if any, difference it is supposed to make because so far I haven't seen any. Unless you want to count being redder than ever. I am very curious to hear the other responses to your inquiry- if you receive any interesting responses that don't get I hope you wouldn't mind sharing them with me! Thanks! users of Noritate? pls ro > Hi > Hope that you can help me with a few questions. > > How often do you use this topical? > Do you use an oil ( vita-oil, jojoba or other ) before using the Noritate? > Do you use a moisturizer on top of it? Guest guest
Hi , I've been using Noritate (prescribed twice a day), along with minocycline, for two weeks and it has been going well. Initially, I did have some redness, but today -- a hot day in Miami -- was not too bad for my face although I was out and about. Let's see how the next few weeks go. Guest guest
Hi --I use Noritate. I tend to alternate between it and Clindagel. I seem to only be able to tolerate any one product for a limited time (varies), but can rarely use any product more than once a day. Once my skin starts to feel itchy, I switch to the other product until it starts to irritate. Neither med seems to make me red; just itchy. Of course, if I succumb to the itch, redness follows. When I do use Noritate, I first apply jojoba oil to my face, then mix Noritate into more jojoba oil and apply that to my face. > Hi > Hope that you can help me with a few questions. > > How often do you use this topical? > Do you use an oil ( vita-oil, jojoba or other ) before using the Noritate? > Do you use a moisturizer on top of it? Guest guest
, I think I'm experiencing the exact same problem -- itching with Noritate. I've been doing great with Noritate for about two months, but over the past week I've experienced subtle itching all over my face, almost imperceivable, and along with that a slight increased drying/scaling. I didn't think it was the Noritate since I only apply that to my cheeks and nose, I thought it was my soap which I stopped using. But over the past 2 days the itching has been impossible to ignore, and today I noticed the itching about 10 minutes after applying the Noritate, and in only the areas I applied it. And now I'm starting to get my typical post-itch papules on my cheeks. Otherwise, the Noritate has been great -- really makes my cheeks feel so smooth and no sensitivity to touch. Has anyone else developed itching to Noritate after weeks of use? I know intellectually this is a product sensitivity, though I have no idea which ingredient. I wasn't 100% convinced it's the Noritate, until I read your post. Marjorie Marjorie Lazoff, MD > Hi --I use Noritate. I tend to alternate between it and > Clindagel. Guest guest
and Marjorie, I had the same problem with Noritate myself. I was fine on it for a few weeks. Then, my skin started to feel really itchy and dry. I had to stop using it. I don't know what ingredient in it caused the delayed reaction either. Take care, Matija > > Hi --I use Noritate. Guest guest
I also have some minor itching. However, it has been a small trade- off for the reduction in acne I have experienced. It has also smoothed and tightened my skin. Regards.
Guest guest
I don't use these sorts of medications, but I'm writing an article on rosacea and should know something about traditional western treatments. Can someone please explain to me what Noritate is?
