Restarting diet after failed attempt/SCD legal supplements

Hi Members,

We had our ASD son on the SCD (& GFCF) for about a month without any big

changes. Then our DAN Doctor made us remove all nut flour but permitted rice,

quinoa and potatoes. After two months he had diarrhea almost every day up to

today. After some good advice from members of this group, we decided to restart

the diet (with nut flour, despite our DAN Doctor's attempts to dissuade us) by

doing the intro diet and keeping strictly legal. Hopefully we will see positive

changes we didn’t see the first time because we did things wrong the first

month. We reviewed all ’s supplements to make sure they are legal.

According to the pecanbread.com website, BrainChild Nutritionals products are

not legal, except for a few including Spectrum Support Ultra Sensitive Formula

which contains xanthan gum according to the BrainChild website (which also says

the product is SCD legal). But the pecanbread website also says that xanthan gum

is illegal. What gives? We are attempting to substitute BrainChild Spetrum

Support Minerals Only which is not SCD legal.

We also have our son on NeuroScience ProQuil (neurotransmitter support) which

contains SCD illegal rice flour. Does anyone know of a substitute for this?

gets two large capsules of this a day. If we can’t find a substitute and

continue with the ProQuil are we doomed to fail on the SCD? Thanks for your

help.
