YOUR Sooooooooooo RIGHT. I wish I was near YOU , so I could give you a big

hug as well !! You ALL have a great Thanksgiving Day too!!

LOVE & HUGS, GrandmomBEV

Giving Thanks

Well gang yesterday wa a looooong day! Everything is fine with my

kids (1 has sinus infection and bronchitis my CFer has a sinus

infection-----but this is pretty much normal!)

I am a high school teacher and yesterday was a terribly looong day.

It started with a discussion with one class about dicrimination and

stereotypes (they had some issues)..boy was that a looong hour.

Then I find out about another student who had the previous night had

a bad run in with a parent (really a messy situation). I spent the

better part of the rest of my day talking to our counselors and

getting them involved in the situation. I came home and started to

think about thanksgiving.

You know we really do have A LOT to be thankful for. We have

wonderful kids. I look forward to seeing those beautiful smiles,

hear the laughs and feeling those little arms around my neck when I

get a hug! I see and hear so much these days from students who are

really having a hard time. Parents who just don't care and yes the

occassional abuse that happens. I hate the fact that my daughter has

CF and that I gave it to her BUT CF has made me a much more caring

and compassioate person. My kids know they are loved and that is the

best thing ever! Everyone, give your kids extra hugs and kisses

this week...they deserve it and so do you!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

It sounds like your kids have a lot to be thankful for too.

I agree with you on the other point too. Even though my son has CF, he is

doing well. I have a loving family. A lot of support from both you all here

and my immediate family. I have a great husband. We are not rich, but we get

by fairly comfortably. Our kids have food, shelter and love. Who could not

be thankful for all that!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
