Can anyone out there help me? First of all is there anyone out there that has

had previous WLS and has had the MGB done? I know there are a few and I was

wondering how you are doing. Also, I received a call from Barbara from Dr. R's

office last Friday. She said that Dr. R will no longer do re-do WLS. Needless

to say I was devastated and still am. I e-mailed Dr. R and he responded with

wait 6 months. I have e-mailed him several times since and also left messages

for him to call me so I can better clarify what he means but I get no response.

I am at a loss. I read these posts faithfully every day and just cry because I

am so devastated. I know this is the only way to help me get my life back. I

am also been in a battle with my insurance company but if Dr. R will consider me

in 6 months I will switch insurance carrier to one that I know will cover the

surgery, but my dilemma is getting clarification. I don't want to be a pain to

Dr. R and have him totally reject me because of bothering him too much but I

don't know whether to wait out the six months or my current insurance has

approved me for the RNY and I don't know whether to look into this procedure.

My heart tells me no that the MGB is right for me. The thought of open RNY

terrifies me but the thought of being unhealthy and dying a slow death terrifies

me even more. While researching the MGB I knew it was what I wanted and I have

not been frightened at all about having the procedure. I feel as though I am

between a rock and a hard place and I just don't know what to do. Is there

anyone out there that has a good repour with the Dr. that could possibly

intervene and find out for me what is meant by the 6 months. I know what a

loving and caring group this is and I know what a brilliant and skilled doctor

Dr. R is and any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Love,
