Hi,

I find the same thing. If I get anxious about my skin or something

else, then I get some swelling on my face. If I'm stressing about my

skin, then I just tell myself that this is the way my skin is now and

it'll probably be better if I don't think about my skin right now.

This seems to do the trick to get the swelling to go down because it

seems to make me less anxious. If it's something else like work, I

try to figure what's stressing me and see what I can do about it. I

tend to get overly anxious about work sometimes, and think I

overreact. When I realize that, I feel less stressed. I also notice I

don't breathe that much when I'm stressed. I try to take deep

breaths. Even doing that seems to help.

These bits of anxiety might seem like a slight change in emotion

because I try to keep things in check, but I know how deeply upset I

get over my skin because of rosacea. It's natural to feel that way

when you've gone through what we have with this condition. Most of us

had no control over its onset, and I still fear that it could get

worse despite my best efforts. I try to remind myself to stay calm

because excess stress is a trigger.

I notice that my sleep is better if I breathe well during the day, so

I don't feel as tired if I don't get my usual 8 hours a night.

I hope that helps!

see people I know and worry that I'm swollen, I can cause my face to

near enough inflate in front of my eyes. Does anyone else have edema

that is caused by such slight changes in emotion?
