Guest guest
I'm still trying to establish a safe list of food for the intro diet, and so far, the only food I feel secure about are certain meats my child is not allergic to (so far) - buffalo, lamb, ostrich, and two vegetables: spinach and zucchini. I was hoping he could eat pear sauce and apple sauce, but he's never eaten much of them in the past since we excluded all fruits assuming that sugars of any kind feed yeast. He's also been allergic to pears and apples in the past. Now, we're scheduled to start the diet tomorrow, and I am not sure what I can safely feed him. I was planning to feed him ostrich, spinach and applesauce for 2 days (we rotate foods), then lamb, zucchini and pear sauce for 2 more days. But how will I know if he's tolerating the pears or apples? Are there signs I should look for (besides the allergy symptoms, which I recognize)? And what if he has these signs - what do I do then? Feed him just meat and a single vegetable for two days? How can he get enough nutrition with only meat and spinach for 2 days?
