Sooooo he did well for 5 days into it then he fell apart. Major behavioral change, he has such a sore bottom from d, it is awful. I have him taking epsom salts baths and eating yogurt. How about a probiotic for a while? Carol F. SCD 6 years, celiac, SCD Cooking Classes

Guest guest
Pearl, Do you have a doctor that might prescribe something like Diflucan? What about probiotics, lots of yogurt and S. Boulardii to help keep the yeast at bay? Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
Hi Pearl, >My son (16 yrs old and on scd almost 2 years) had to go on antibiotics because he needed stitches and it was with a power tool so they felt I really needed to put him on them. Sooooo he did well for 5 days into it then he fell apart. Major behavioral change, he has such a sore bottom from d, it is awful. I have him taking epsom salts baths and eating yogurt. We didn't even finish the antibiotic. We have gone back to basic foods. Is there anything else that can help? I told the dr. I didn't want the antibiotic but they made me feel like I had to have it. He has changed so drastic and I thought he was going to run away today. Anyones experience can tell me about how long this will last? How long before we start healing again? After the first year scd we didn't have behavior problems anymore and now it is all back. What a nightmare. Thanks for all support. Pearl How awful! I hope he wasn't hurt to badly. Have you been using probiotics or yogurt? What exactly is he eating? Sheila, SCD 61 mos, UC 22yrs mom of and
