Educate her(let her know your diet history) I told people " Look this isn't a question of 'Should I have my bowels resected,or go to Craig?' I went to Craig a few times and SHE OWES ME MONEY! " They usually laughed and got the point. I would tell people that cared for me how much it meant,but I have really done my homework here. This is what post-op life should be like for me...and here's how you can help me pre-op and post-op(Yada,yada,yada). People need to here that it's your body and your decision,but that you'll include them and help educate them. Don't know if this'll help you,but did me! Osler MGB 2/21/00 then 272,now 214!
