If you want to go really slowly, you can give 1/8th teaspoon, then

alternate with 1/4 tsp for several days.

Then give 1/4 tsp every day for several days.

Then alternate 1/4tsp with 1/2 tsp, then give 1/2 tsp.

I'm glad to hear it's going better this time around.
