Purple Emu Question

Hello, I've been a lurker of this list for almost a year now and want to

thank everyone for all their insightful information. It's so nice to be a

part of a list who is so kind and helpful towards each other!

Recently I started using Purple Emu. I've seen a few positive responses on

the list within the past year regarding their products and wanted to ask a

few questions.

I've been using PE for about 6 days now and my face is a terrible mess!

I've been taking pictures of it every day just to keep track of its

progress. I use the soap, oil and Redness/Blemish creame twice a day. The

first day was fine but as time progressed my entire face became very

inflamed (oh, the terrible burn!!!), and eventually became extremely tight

and flakey no matter how much emu oil applied. On the 3rd & 4th day I had to

soak my face in water and rub with a washcloth - ever so gently- all the

dead dry skin off. This helped quite a bit but really hurt and made my face

even more tender. I looked terrible! My skin is extremely blotchy with

many red bumps. On the 5th day I decided to use the Redness creame once a

day and use more of the moisturizers and my face feels much better today on

the 6th day even though it is still dry. The redness and bumps has turned

to pinkish instead of flaming red, and the bumps are slowly disappearing,

but my face is still very blotchy and dry.

Is all of this normal? Anyone else here experience similar reactions? How

long does it take for this dryness to stop and the newer skin to come forth?

I feel so ugly right now and need a little moral support. Thanks for

listening.

Summer
