Guest guest
Hi, I want to check my son's daily intake on Fitday. How do you add the foods that you make yourself like the cashew muffins and the bread that I make? Also, Fitday would only let me put the age of 13 in as the lowest age, but my son is 8. Does that make a difference? Thanks for the help! Gwen mom to , ASD, SCD 20 months
Guest guest
Jody, Do you input the raw ingredients for the food? Doesn't cooking change the calories etc? Thanks for the help! Gwen To include homemade items, I input an entire recipe. Then, I copy down the calories, carbs, fat and protein. Then I divide the totals by the number of servings. (For example a muffin recipe that makes 12- I would divide the totals by 12). Then I use the CREATE CUSTOM FOOD feature and input the name of the item " Cashew Muffin " and input the information about the calories, carbs, fat and protein into the form.
