Guest guest
. , you make an excellent suggestion for to seek an original data source for border demographics (I.N.S.). Such an effort will never be a waste of time, given the inclination of dissertation committees and thesis readers to ask, " Have you checked on....? " Besides all-important counts of border crossers, surrogate data might be permisos issued and apprehensions. Economic Security Commissions, registration of camps (Labor, or Health department), farm labor contractor licenses (Labor) and commercial farm demographics (Food & Agriculture?) also provide " counts " that can serve as surrogate data for triangulating. Thanks for reminding us of the importance of original data and primary sources. V Bletzer
